We are committed to building an intelligent, real-time voice and visual companion and universal media suite while upholding the highest global standards of user privacy, digital safety, and consumer data protection. This document outlines in clear, transparent language how our services operate, how device permissions are utilized, and how your personal digital space is safeguarded.
1. Device Permissions & How They Are Used
To provide hands-free voice assistance, real-time camera vision, and interactive media features, the app requests specific permissions on your device. Each permission is requested strictly for its core functionality and operates on user consent:
Microphone Access: Used exclusively when you engage in live voice conversations, voice commands, or speech search. Microphone audio streams are active ONLY during your active session. The app NEVER conducts secret background listening, surveillance, or audio harvesting.
Camera Access: Used only when you activate visual assistance to navigate environments, describe surroundings, read printed documents, or analyze items in front of you. The app NEVER snaps hidden background photos or records silent video feeds.
Location Services: Requested strictly on-demand to provide region-accurate information (such as local weather, regional Bikram Sambat calendar dates, nearby public places, or live walking directions). Location data is evaluated on-the-fly and is never tracked continuously in the background or sold to advertisers.
Storage & Downloads: Allows you to select photos/documents to share with the companion and save downloaded audio (MP3) or video (MP4) files directly into your device's public Downloads/ folder.
Biometric Voice ID (Voiceprint): Enables personalized voice lock security so the assistant responds specifically to your voice. Voiceprint calculation is processed 100% locally on your device's offline AI runtime. Your biometric voice vector is stored in secure local device memory and is NEVER uploaded to external servers.
Accessibility & Helper Control: An optional feature allowing hands-free voice control over phone settings (scrolling, adjusting volume, or launching apps for visually impaired or motor-impaired users).
Core Privacy Commitment: Drishti AI will never secretly record background conversations, capture hidden images, or track your movements. All features operate explicitly upon direct user interaction.
2. Universal Media Downloader & Zero-Server-Footprint Architecture
Our media features, streaming tools, and video/audio download engines are built on strict zero-retention principles:
Zero Server Disk Storage: When downloading videos (MP4) or converting audio (MP3) from YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, or JioSaavn, files stream on-the-fly directly to your local device. Media files are NEVER saved, indexed, or stored on our servers.
Watermark-Free & Original Sound: Video and audio extractions are delivered directly to your device storage without tracking your personal downloading habits or building behavioral advertising profiles.
Cloud Share (Temporary File Transfer): Files shared via Drishti Cloud Share are encrypted (with optional password protection). To maintain data minimalism, shared files are automatically and permanently purged from server disks after 7 days, or within 24 hours if an upload was interrupted.
3. Real-Time Web Search & Information Retrieval
When you ask for live information, current news, weather, or real-time exchange rates:
No Personal Search History Profiling: Web searches are executed through privacy-centric multi-tier pipelines (including Google Search Grounding and DuckDuckGo). We do not record or build personal search profiles linked to your real identity.
Transient AI Token Processing: Live voice audio and chat prompts processed during AI sessions are held in active memory only long enough to synthesize answers and are discarded immediately upon completion.
4. End-to-End Transport Security & Encryption
We enforce robust security protocols to protect all data transmissions:
Encrypted Digital Tunnels: All communications between your mobile application, desktop app, and our servers are encrypted using modern TLS 1.3 / SSL cryptographic protocols to prevent third-party interception.
Protected Memory & Local SQLite: Saved user preferences and companion memories are stored securely in your private, local SQLite database or encrypted session store. You can wipe your chat memory at any time with a single tap.
5. Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) & Custom API Key Privacy
For users on our Lifetime VIP (BYOK) plan or users configuring custom AI model API keys:
Hardware-Backed Local Encryption: Your custom API key is encrypted using Android Keystore / AES hardware-backed security directly on your device. It is never transmitted in plain text or saved on any unencrypted medium.
Zero Permanent Server Storage: Your personal API key is sent only via secure TLS 1.3 encrypted WebSocket connection solely for the duration of your active voice session. Our servers NEVER store, database, write to disk, log, or profile your personal API key.
Strict Session Isolation: Your API key is strictly isolated to your own live sessions and cannot be accessed, seen, or utilized by any other user or third party.
Full Key Revocation & Ownership: Because the key is owned by you under your personal developer account, you retain complete sovereignty and can cycle, regenerate, or revoke your API key at any time from your provider dashboard.
6. Payment & Transaction Data Privacy
Subscriptions in Nepal and internationally are processed transparently via digital wallets (eSewa, Fonepay, Khalti), UPI/cards, or bank transfers:
Zero Financial Credential Storage: Drishti AI does not collect or store credit card numbers, CVVs, ATM PINs, or digital wallet passwords.
Verification Data: We retain only the transaction reference ID, screenshot, and subscription duration provided by the user solely to verify and activate license tokens.

7. User Data Control & Deletion Rights
You maintain full sovereignty over your personal data at all times:
Permission Revocation: You can grant or revoke Camera, Microphone, Location, or Storage permissions at any moment in your phone's System Settings.
Instant History Erasure: Clear individual conversation sessions or wipe your entire chat history with a single tap from the settings screen.
Companion Memory Reset: Instruct the AI to forget personal facts or preferences at any time (e.g., "Forget my details" or "Clear my memory").
8. Protecting Children's Privacy
Drishti AI is designed to be a safe, educational, and respectful companion for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal details without parental consent, we take immediate steps to remove such information.
